Adventurous Training and Expeditions
Equally importantly, adventurous training provides an
environment in which participants can test themselves
against physical and mental challenges where fear, risk
and danger are factors in leadership and decision making.
The main activities involved in the available programmes
are:
Mountaineering
Canoeing
Free Fall
Sailing
Skiing
Sub Aqua
Taylor-made Expeditions
Adventurous Training expeditions are organised and conducted
by the members of the team themselves to Europe, Africa
and America. Again the purpose is to allow participants
to plan and conduct an expedition in order to develop
initiative and self-confidence in challenging environments.
Aspects of integral development that we include in our
programmes for business leaders are:
•-Ability to create
and execute a strategic plan
•-Setting standards
and sustaining high levels of performance
•-Being visible in
a way that inspires confidence
•-Remaining calm under
pressure
•-Maintaining integrity
in all circumstances
•-Communicating effectively
•-Self discipline
•-Moral courage in
the face of difficulty
All our programmes are designed to meet our clients’
needs for developing specific leadership attributes. These
programmes are often designed to allow large groups of
leaders and managers to undergo the same experience within
a few weeks or months of each other.
The environment at Arton is unique. There is an all pervading
atmosphere of excellence where standards in everything
from the presentation of the grounds to the behaviour
of the Staff is exemplary. Attending a programme in such
a setting has an inevitable impact on delegates who invariably
“raise their game” accordingly.
We work with our client organisations at all levels,
from graduates to senior managers, developing their leadership
capability as well as imparting the skills that enable
them to be highly effective in their roles.
Enabling individuals to become influential leaders, displaying
personal power and:
•-Inspiring
and motivating others
•-Thinking
strategically
•-Building
a high performing team
•-Coaching
others to succeed
•-Leading
change
•-Being
passionate for excellence
Personal power and impact result from becoming skilled
in:
•-Influencing
and persuading others
•-Creating
a strong personal profile
•-Networking
and relationship development
•-Confidence
and moral courage
Becoming highly effective in a business role often involves
finding the courage and skills to break the mould. We
help people develop the skills needed to become high performers
and contribute to improved results in their organisation.
These skills include:
•-Commercial
skills: winning and retaining business, managing client
relationships, account management, consultative selling
skills
•-Influencing
skills: negotiating successfully, effective communication
both written and spoken, presenting with impact, persuading
others
•-Managing
for results: setting objectives and priorities, effective
delegation, managing projects successfully, developing
others.
Our approach is always to be practical and pragmatic and
to build opportunities in our programmes for practice
and personal feedback.
